"Shipping was frustrating"
A friend recommended this to me, so I was excited to get it, but the shipping experience was a bit of a mess. The book showed up late, and the tracking barely updated along the way, which made it kind of annoying to know when it would actually arrive.

"Solid tech books without overpaying"
I grabbed a couple of ebooks from No Starch Press and felt like the pricing was fair. If you’re trying to learn something and you’re tired of piecing together random online tutorials, these are a good step up. The explanations felt more polished and easier to follow, so it was worth it for me. I’d probably buy from them again, especially if there’s a topic I really want to dig into.
"Helpful for someone just starting out"
I’m still fairly new to coding, and the No Starch books I’ve tried have been easy to follow. I like that the examples are clear and don’t feel like they expect you to already know everything. The website was also straightforward to use, and I didn’t have any trouble finding what I was looking for. Overall, a solid experience so far.

"I was just browsing and suddenly saw..."
I was just browsing and suddenly saw the exact tech book I needed, so I grabbed it right away. Super easy to find, which was a nice surprise.

"Tech books that actually make sense"
I’ve picked up a handful of No Starch books now, and they’ve all been solid. Something about it just feels more useful than a lot of other tech books I’ve tried. The writing is clear without treating you like you know nothing, and the examples usually click well. I also appreciate that they don’t just gloss over the stuff beginners tend to get stuck on. A few of the books are definitely on the thicker side, but that’s fine because there’s real detail in there. Overall, really good quality.

"Better Than I Expected"
I ordered a few books and wasn’t sure what the print quality would be like. When the package arrived, I opened it up right away and flipped through the pages, and I was pleasantly surprised. Everything looked clean, sharp, and nicely done. The books turned out really well, and I’m happy with how they were printed.

"Interesting topics, but a little hard to follow"
I really like the topics this book covers, but the writing can feel clunky at times. Some sections repeat the same idea more than once, and then other parts suddenly skip over basic steps like you’re just supposed to know them already. It didn’t ruin the book for me, but it definitely made learning feel WAY slower than I expected

"Really impressed with the ebook quality"
I bought a couple of ebooks from nostarch.com and I’ve been really happy with them. The formatting is super clean, especially in the PDFs, and the code blocks are easy to read without any annoying layout issues. The epub version also works well on my tablet, which isn’t always the case with tech books. No weird spacing, broken pages, or frustrating surprises. The download process was simple too. Overall, it gave me a lot of confidence in buying more ebooks from them.

"Frustrating because things kept changing"
I wanted to like this, but it got annoying. Some of the code examples had errors, so I had to stop and figure out what was wrong instead of just learning. A few explanations also felt a bit off or unclear. On top of that, the terms seemed to change along the way, which made it even more frustrating because I felt like I was trying to keep up with moving goalposts...

"Support got back to me fast"
I had some issue with my order, not totally sure what happened on their end, but I emailed support and they replied the same day. It took one more message to get everything figured out, but they were nice about it and helped me sort it out.

"Books I’d Actually Use Again"
I’ve picked up a few books from nostarch.com now, and they’ve been really helpful. They’re not just dry theory — the examples are clear, and I like that you can actually follow along and build or test things while you’re reading. It made coding and security topics a lot easier for me to understand. The site was straightforward to use too, which is always a plus. I’d definitely order from them again when I need another tech book.
